To
assist people with HIV or AIDS and their loved ones in taking control
of their spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional health by
providing current, comprehensive information in one source.
To
bring together: HIV support groups, patients, and
organizations that serve people with HIV to work towards
the common goal of unity, education, support, and spiritual
awareness. By
linking resources we are creating a centralized community as
well as the largest network for support ever.
HIV
Anonymous is run by the HIV Anonymous World Service Organization
(HIVAWSO). The WSO
is the centralized governing body that provides structure for
the General Service Office (GSO), Area Service Representatives
(ASR’s), and Group Service Representatives (GSR’s).
The
HIVAWSO has the power to accept or decline donations or
grants. It approves and distributes literature. It
also provides access
to affiliated programs such as workshops, conferences, public
service announcements, etc.
In
addition, we provide a national HIV Anonymous Hotline for
questions, support and referral, and to identify resources to develop
funding, research, prevention, and treatment.
We
believe that through HIV
Anonymous' World Service Organization and implementation of on-line meetings,
regular
meetings, workshops, and our Hot Line no one infected with or affected by
HIV or AIDS will ever have to be alone.

HIV Anonymous--United We Stand
As We Grow in Numbers, We Multiply in Strength
We
maintain our perspective through knowledge, unity, and a common
mission. Our
membership is comprised of individuals from all walks of life,
relating to each other in friendship and mutual accountability.
This site is meant to be a reference point for unity and the
sharing of resources.
It is designed to be non-sensational, non-commercial, and
impartial.
It
will help bring individuals together, unifying us, assisting us
to confront, evaluate, and if necessary, challenge and change
thinking that impedes our progress and well-being..
There is no "authority structure" as such. It is mainly volunteers who seek to work together in many
contexts. By committing ourselves to service and unity, we
are not demanding uniformity.
We meet on points of accord.
Each of us believes that together we can make the world a
better place to live for everyone infected with or afflicted by
HIV.
