Basic
Goals of HIV Anonymous
The
program HIV Anonymous Positive Attitudes is designed to bring
HIV patients, family members, friends, and health care
professionals, along with their experiences together to help
provide support to everyone affected by HIV.
Our
web site is a road map to the Internet. It provides
strategic information and links to help all parties involved to
cope with HIV and/or AIDS and/or HIV/AIDS treatments.
We have gathered relevant information from almost every
available resource and linked them to this site. It is
intended to meet all your needs and simplify locating
information and resources on HIV/AIDS.
Meetings
provide a confidential place where members can discuss therapy,
side effects, costs, insurance issues, employment, disability
benefits, and effects of and treatment for depression.
Members
provide mutual emotional support and useful medical information
for people with HIV, or for those who have AIDS, as well as for
their families and friends. Members can also learn skills
to employ to deal with personal issues, and learn to communicate
with others about the disease.
Sponsors and newcomers share their experiences, strengths, and
hopes; their inexperience, weakness, and despair.
Together, they can learn to deal constructively with spiritual,
physical, mental, and emotional concerns.
